Weekly Group Rides
Join us on our always popular group rides! Whether you are new to cycling or a seasoned pro, we'll have a ride suited for you. Rides require, at minimum, an appropriate bike in good working order, water, and a helmet. We suggest a spare tube, energy food, maybe a little cash in case we stop, and a willingness to have fun!
| Every Wednesday | 6:00 PM | Weekly Social Charity Ride. A $15 donation gets you on the ride, and afterwards we socialize at Pollyanna's Brewery while enjoying a FREE draft beer or a 16 oz. vodka seltzer! Distances vary between 11-15 miles, with speeds between 10-15 mph. This ride is all about FUN! Any bike type, or rider level welcome. NO DROP RIDE. Ride starts at Sammy's Bikes, and ends down the street at Pollyanna's Brewery. Helmets are required, safety lights are strongly recommended! -CASHLESS payments ONLY. | Every Saturday | 8:00 AM | Weekly Road Ride. Approximately 40 miles (around 3 hours) with hills, from Sammy's Bikes to Maple Park, rest stop at Casey's General Store, and back on open roads. -8am SHARP roll out! -This is a DROP ride with 2 regroup points on the way out, none on the way back. -Two distinct group paces, with a sweeper to pick up any dropped riders. -A group pace 18-22 mph, with some faster sections. -B group pace 16-18 mph, with some faster sections. | Every Sunday | 8:00 AM | Weekly Road/Gravel Ride. Approximately 35 miles, from Sammy's Bikes to Wheaton, and back to the shop. -8am SHARP roll out! -Ride will regroup multiple times, both out and back. -The ride typically has multiple groups at approximately 20 mph, 18 mph, and 16 mph average speeds. -Dress for the weather!
